Coordinator
Eduardo Minozzi-Costa is the Outreach Director of the Tucson Guitar Society.
TGS School Outreach Program
This is a new eductional project targeting selected Tucson area schools that will provide students in these schools with exposure to high-quality classical guitar concerts.
Our concerts are free and are generally 30 minutes long. As an example, please listen to and enjoy this sample of a Classical Guitar performance. In this performance, Eduardo is performing at the University of Arizona School of Music 2009 Sholin Guitar Competition.
If you are associated with a school and are interested in scheduling a concert, please contact Eduardo Minozzi Costa at (520) 282-4133 or through his web site or at edumusic@email.arizona.edu. Concerts are offered on a limited first-come, first-served basis and may be scheduled according to your needs as time is available. Eduardo would be happy to discuss with you how this project may benefit your school and how it can be adapted to your curriculum.

Tucson Guitar Teachers Association
The Tucson Guitar Teachers Association was started as a forum to provide more variety to the students of local guitar teachers. TGS and the University of Arizona guitar program will be listening to ideas from the teacher members of this association on how to assist students with experiences outside of guitar class experience. Maybe ideas like youth guitar competitions, free concert tickets, guitar masterclasses, topic seminars will come up. Teachers should join and participate now! Eduardo believes that the more variety a student is exposed to, the more motivated s/he will become to keep achieving results. It's clear to Eduardo that learning is a process, a process from where a student is right now to where s/he will be one day. Let's make this process more enjoyable, by ensuring that our students take full advantage of our city's guitar opportunities.
